Lecture by Jen Boum Make

This event will tie in with my graduate student course, FREN558, allowing students to learn from external faculty and building chances for collaboration across institutions. It will also help recruit students by bringing outside research specialists. Dr. Boum Make is a leading scholar in her field of Francophone Caribbean Studies who has recently published a monograph on this subject, as well as a gifted pedagogue whose talk will appeal to French undergraduate and graduate students as well as faculty. It will be of interdisciplinary interest to students and faculty in CLAS, AFAS, and other departments as well.
